| I haven't updated my xanga in a while. This is because I have gone to the dark side and gotten a livejournal. Feel free to visit me on my new site (leave a comment and I'll send you the link). My xanga is finally returning to its original intent-- just for commenting.
Happy Holidays. | | |
| I just got back from dying Mandy's hair fuscia! Actually I didn't do the actual application of the dye..because anyone who would let me do that to them is just insane. Alicia on the spur of the moment decided that since there was extra hair dye she too would have brightly colored hair. Since they are both blond it really stands out and looks awesome. I briefly considered doing it, but I fear the permanence of it. I have committment issues when it comes to my hair.
The cafeteria here goes all out for holidays. This might be especially true of Halloween since our school colors are orange and black. Anyway at lunch the cafeteria lights were turned off, there were several random fog machines, masses of spider web hanging eveywhere, and the sounds of screaming replaced the usual easy listening soft rock. In the middle of the cafeteria where they usually keep the cereal there were two cafeteria ladies dressed as witches. One of them served "witch's brew" (fruit punch with dry ice) from a cauldron. The other had a fortune telling stand with tarot cards. And as if that wasn't special enough the names of the dishes were all renamed such as "roast beast" (actually a very accurate description of the roast beef) or "haunt-aloulou chicken." At first I was miffed at eating in the dark and refused to get into the Halloween spirit. But once I discovered there was candy on all the tables I decided to embrace the corniness of it all. Our cafeteria ladies are the greatest.
Tonight we're going to a little Halloween party of our own. Should be pretty interesting. Especially given my makeshift costume.
| Have you ever woken up really tried only to figure out its probably because you stayed up til 3 am the night before? Yeah, its one of those days. | | |
| People never cease to surprise me. This goes out to anyone whose life is more complicated than mine, for whatever reason. For the people who sob into their phone at night because they have no one to talk to here. And for the people who are scared of what their parents might think of them (especially when it is for good reason). For anyone who feels tied down, even if they think they are glad to be. I love you all, though only one of you knows it. May you find happiness in whatever it is that you do. | | |
| The second meeting of the Damn Dirty Hippies went fairly well. Now that we've had two nearly concecutive meetings, we are an actual club. So goes my logic. Plus we found an excellent meeting place that just happens to be where I am forced to go every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday anyway.
Walking around Hardin I was accosted by a drunk boy with bad teeth partaking in the joy that is Wednesday Fest (the Wednesday night party where everyone boozes it up because there aren't that many classes on Thursdays). Anyway his great pickup line was "Hi my name is Tim *extends hand* I wish I'd met you when I was sober." I shook his hand and told him better luck next time. As drunks who hit on me go, he was quite a gentleman.
So the Chick-fil-a is finally coming to Conway! No more driving all the way to Little Rock! It actually opens in about 5 hours. There was a deal that the first 100 people to be in line for the opening would get free Chick-fil-a for a year (which translates to one combo meal a week for a total of 52). Me and my also carless chicken loving friend tried to find someone to take us there in the dead of night. Finally I got my friend Beth to leave her math assignment and drive me over there at about midnight. Sadly the first hundred had already been there for a quite a while. They had tents and tvs and music and free food and a game of basketball going. Looked like quite a party. Oh well its kind of cold outside so I'm probably better off.
There's no one online to talk to so I'm updating my xanga with the finer points of my day. I had a highly stressful incident that I shant mention. Plus everyone who has talked to me today has heard about it in great detail, since I like to complain about trivial things. My roommate brought a puppy for me to play with today though, so that really made everything better. As puppies are want to do. Ok that pretty much covers every small thing that could possibly have occured on this day. Minus all silliness. The description of my day would be much longer and more intense if I included silliness.
